Dermal fillers work by adding volume to the skin, softening wrinkles and scarring for a structured, smooth appearance. As a result, they can be used to plump up the skin and the face as well as enhancing facial features. For example, we can use them to add fullness to the lips, cheeks and jaw.
Delivered using a fine needle or a cannula, administering dermal fillers may only take 30-minutes to an hour. However, it can take up to two weeks for it to settle and for the complete result to show. The results can then last up to six months, making twice yearly treatments a recommended approach to maintain the appearance.
Led by Dr Malc Newsome, at Ivy Dental we offer three different areas of facial aesthetics – anti-wrinkle injections including Botox® or Azzalure®, fillers such as Juvederm® or Restylane®, and polynucleotides which regenerate your natural skin cells.
The anti-wrinkle injections that we offer include Botox® or Azzalure® products, which we use with careful and gentle precision to help reduce the appearance of active fine lines and wrinkles caused by facial movement. They are particularly well suited to treating forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines.
Dermal fillers are used to plump up the skin and address more passive lines where the skin has lost volume or collagen as a natural part of the ageing process. As a result, they can be used to bring a more youthful appearance to the skin and the face as a whole by enhancing facial features. Regenerative polynucleotide treatments are great for rejuvenating skin rather than altering it, by triggering new cell growth. Historically used to treat burns in a medical context, the science is now available in cosmetic treatments, helping your skin to be a healthier version of itself. Unlike many other aesthetics treatments, it can also be used on the hands and around your eyes, as well as other areas of the face.
We aim to make our approach and our fees as accessible as possible. Therefore, we have options for one-off treatments for non-members or membership programmes that provide continuity of care and best-value treatments, as well as features such as access to a global dental accident and emergency scheme. In addition, you can spread the cost of membership with interest free payments over 12 months via our finance provider, Practi, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
